ILLL which is the brainchild of our Vice-Chancellor Prof. Deepak Pental was established in 2007 to incorporate time and technology induced changes in the system of education in the University of Delhi. It is an institute with a vision beyond future. The main focus of this Institute is on integrating Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) with education. What began as a small activity has now become an on-line movement in the University of Delhi with the realization setting in that technology is to empower the teachers and hence a necessity in the present scenario if we have to improve the quality of education and compete with the best in the world. To achieve this ILLL has been following a three-fold strategy of developing high quality content, capacity building of teachers in ICT skills and developing state- of- the art infrastructure and connectivity for disseminating knowledge. ILLL has also been conducting various faculty development programmes and also life-enriching and career-oriented programmes for the students. At ILLL , we understand that managing transformation is not merely a matter of revitalizing the organizational body, it is a matter of touching the institutional soul. Let us all join hands together to achieve excellence in both teaching and research at DU to make it a world class university.
